Pelorus Engineering began in 2014 as a specialised firm doing energy modeling, life cycle cost analysis and in-field auditing for commercial buildings.

Brent founded Pelorus Engineering in the Tampa Bay area in 2014 after a career in energy engineering and energy services at Ameresco, Siemens, Constellation Energy, EnerNOC and Ocean Insight. He is a Florida-licensed Professional Engineer who designs and builds the Pelorus software himself: innovative, cost-effective tools that turn the data buildings already produce into engineering findings an owner can act on, with a professional engineer in the loop on every analysis.
